I never write product reviews, but in this case, I want to help provide some insight for someone who may be on the fence about purchasing.
In 2012, I had a herniated disc at L5-S1 that was hitting my nerve. I used pain killers for about 21 days until I had a shot, which allowed me to be pain-free until I reinjured myself on June 1, 2018, doing jiu-jitsu. The re-injury was so painful that I was unable to control pain with pain killers. The pain killers only got me to a point where I was barely functional, whereas, in 2012, I was nearly fully functional on pain killers. I panicked because I was told it would take a month for me to be able to see any of the local back/spine doctors and to make matters worse, my insurance company was being difficult about approving my MRI. I was researching stretches online and started reading about the best inversion tables, which lead me to Amazon. I tend to research something quite a bit before getting into it, and I really wanted to make sure there was some sort of science behind inverting. I did find that online, but in addition, it also seems fairly logical to me, a non-medical professional, that simply going upside down can get pressure off of your spine. I ordered this table and began using it immediately. The first few days, the pain was so severe that I am convinced that I had a disc injury and some other injury, which was aggravated by the table. I used the table for a few days, inverting to about 45 degrees for 1-2 mins, and then took a few days off because of the pain. At about 6 days out, I started using it again, and within a few days after that, my back got to about 80% pain relief and I totally was able to stop taking any pain killers. At a month out, I am over 90%. The only remaining symptom is a bit of tingling/weakness. I’ve now tried to place a lot of focus on proper hydration, and I’ve been inverting twice daily. The inversion table is no longer painful, I go a little over 45 degrees and stay on until I am bored. The session when I wake up is always wild – I flex my upper back, around my lets, which frees up my lower back around L5-S1. I then move my hips in a rotating motion, kinda side to side, and I get a ton of cracking and then everything feels super loose. There are also handles on the side of the table that can help you do a more intense version of this, which I will eventually use, but I can’t because I also broke my ribs, so I can’t comment on how useful they are.

A note about the quality of the product – it seems super high quality. There are a lot of products that you can feel the quality at the moment you touch it and this is one of them. People who have never had a disc injury before don’t understand how painful they are, and spending $300 to get a quality product that you’re going to use daily for life isn’t a huge investment considering getting a shot or surgery is going to cause you WAY more out of pocket expense, even with insurance.

This is life-changing!!! Shipping was fast, and the assembly was quick and easy. The best inversion table is the most well built on the market!

I have a bulging disc in my lumbar area and am also in constant pain from bone spurs/degeneration in my cervical spine. I’ve spent thousands on 2x weekly chiropractic visits to treat my neck and back pain, and even more $ to treat the migraines that I have as a result of the neck issues. Until now, nothing has made a difference. I haven’t been back to the chiropractor since I received this table, and this has seriously changed my life!

Just a few minutes on the table relieves the pressure on my neck and back, and I feel energized (yet relaxed) afterward. I have also noticed that fibromyalgia symptoms have improved!

A couple of tips: Make sure you wear a pair of lace-up athletic shoes and give your body a chance to adjust to inverting. I’m currently finishing massage therapy school, and I’ve learned that it is important to drink a lot of water when you are inverting on a table. Metabolic wastes that are trapped within your fascia and within the joints will be released when inverting (this also happens with deep tissue massage). Drinking additional water, beyond the recommended 8 cups per day, will aid the lymphatic system in flushing these metabolic waste products out of the body. (Neglecting to do this may result in fatigue, muscle aches, and even flu-like symptoms the next day or so). Also, when using for the first few times, I think it’s helpful to have a friend nearby.

I am very impressed with this table. I looked at several tables and kept coming back to this one and am glad I did. I looked at the Ironman 4000 along with a couple of others including the Teeter Hang ups.

What stood out with this was not only that it was cheaper than the rest, but it had several of the features the higher-priced had. First, of, this is really well constructed, but yet it is not overly heavy(50lbs or so). This makes it easy to fold up(just pull the pin and fold up) and maneuver to be put away, without stressing your back.
One of the things I was looking for was the ankle restraint system than surrounds and secures your ankles vs. a big cushion that clamps down onto your ankles since it makes for better comfort and this model had it. Not many of the lower-priced ones had this type of ankle restraint system. The system to lock the restraints itself is ok(it is a pull spring-loaded peg) but I would have preferred the system that the Ironman uses, as you don’t have to bend down as far and is a ratchet type system. However, these are comfortable and I have no issues once I am clamped in.

This also comes with a nice lumbar pad, which you can insert a heat/ice pack into if you like(it doesn’t come with one, but I bought this Hot & Cold Reusable Gel Pack, 5″ x 10″ which works great). It also has a removable head pillow, which is nice.

This also uses a peg system to stop the table at various inversion points. While you don’t get the complete freedom of a strap, I find the peg to be a lot easier to manage, with a couple of users in the house, than having to constantly readjust a strap. All you do is unscrew the peg and move it to another hole and twist it back in. No unexpected slippage of a strap either.
The height adjustment is easy. Just pull the peg and slide the height to what you want. It also has a safety pin that you insert as a secondary fastener for the pull peg.
